Find answers to common questions about halal verification
We verify products by checking their ingredients and additives against our comprehensive E-codes database. We also integrate with OpenFoodFacts API and use AI analysis to detect haram ingredients. Each product is categorized as Halal, Haram, or Mashbooh (doubtful) based on thorough verification.
Click the floating scan button (bottom-right corner) or the "Scan" button in the navigation. Point your camera at the product barcode and it will automatically detect and display the product information. We support EAN, UPC, QR codes, and more.
If a product is not in our database or OpenFoodFacts, you'll see a "Product Not Found" page where you can submit the product for review. Contact us with the barcode and product details, and our team will add it to the database after verification.
E-codes (E-numbers) are standardized codes for food additives used in the European Union and globally. Our database classifies each E-code as Halal, Haram, or Mashbooh (doubtful) based on their source and composition. For example, E120 (Carmine) is Haram as it's derived from insects.
